MDE School is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501©3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. MDE School retains full discretion over allocating and utilizing all donations to best support our organizational goals.

Each March, MDE School hosts a special in-person event to raise essential funds that support our students and programs. We’re already gearing up for our 2027 event, and we can’t wait to share the details with you soon. Stay tuned!

Day of Giving Annual Fund Campaign
The easiest and most impactful way to support MDE School is to contribute to the Annual Fund. MDE School’s Day of Giving Annual Fund campaign is the most critical fundraiser of the school year. From our classrooms, enrichment activities, and life skills training, we could not provide the excellent special education program we do without our generous annual fund donors. Kroger Community Rewards
The Kroger Family of Companies is committed to community engagement, positive social impact, and charitable giving at the national and local levels.

Birthday Fundraisers
If you would like to request donations be made to MDE School instead of gifts for your birthday or another special occasion, we’ve got you covered. MDE School can create a custom donation page for you that processes online donations. Please email us to request your personalized donation page.
In-Kind Donations
MDE School welcomes your donation of goods and services. We always seek donations to our benefit silent auctions like vacation getaways, sporting event tickets, restaurant gift certificates, and merchandise. Additionally, we need computers, i-Pads, and supplies for our classrooms, playground, and enrichment programs. For a complete list of our current needs, Please email us.
Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities enable donors to avoid capital-gains taxes while making a tax-deductible gift to MDE School. To make a gift of appreciated securities, please email us for more information.
Gasso
GA House Bill 1133 allows you to redirect a portion of your state income taxes to the private school of your choice and receive a 100% dollar-for-dollar credit when you file your taxes. Individuals, couples, S corporations, and C corporations can participate in this program. You have to pay your Georgia taxes no matter what. Why not direct the taxes you or your company pays to the MDE School Scholarship Fund so we can give tuition assistance to economically disadvantaged families?

Once we toured MDE School, the decision was easy. Everyone welcomed us with love and understanding. It truly felt like we had found our tribe. Knowing my son is in a nurturing environment, surrounded by staff who genuinely want to see him thrive and grow, gives me an immeasurable sense of peace.
Who We Are
MDE School is the only special education school in the Atlanta metro area supporting neurodiverse students from preschool through early adulthood. As a nonprofit private school, we provide personalized education for students with developmental delays who may not thrive in traditional settings.
Our tailored academics, enrichment programs, and life skills training empower each student to reach their full potential in a supportive, nurturing environment. When ready, students can transition seamlessly to MDE Vocational Academy on our campus, serving young adults ages 15+ with a focus on vocational, life, and social skills.
Our experienced team specializes in working with students with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, communication disorders, and other learning differences supporting each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth at their own pace.
