MDE Vocational Academy

MDE Vocational Academy – Enrolling for Fall 2021 NOW

Our Mission

Our mission is to help young adults with special needs, age 16 and above, maximize their independence and meet their full potential through vocational and life skills training.

Reaching young adulthood can be a challenging time for special needs students and the parents who love them. Questions abound. Will I get a job? Will I live on my own? How much independence will I have? At MDE Vocational Academy, we are here to help you navigate this new chapter.

Our Approach

Young adults with special needs have similar needs to others when it comes to living a fulfilling life. They must have something to do and something to look forward to. At MDE Vocational Academy, we are passionate about helping young adults with special needs discover their talents and interests while nurturing their independence. We develop a personal plan and goals for each student.  This plan helps students train for a vocation that will lead to fulfilling job opportunities throughout their lifetime. Employment and independence help all young people to feel they are valuable members of their community.

MDE Vocational Academy employs highly trained coaches to help your student reach their full potential. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where students thrive and grow.

Community Involvement

MDE Vocational Academy is teaming up with some great local companies to provide students with real-life vocational skills training.
