Ms. Jaffee joined MDE Vocational Academy in 2023 as a dedicated educator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation with a focus on Therapeutic Recreation and brings a wealth of experience as a recreational therapist in the senior living industry. Her previous roles included serving as an Activity Director for Independent, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities in the Atlanta area.
Ms. Jaffee’s passion for working with the special needs community began during a college internship, where she had the opportunity to support neurodivergent students. Now at MDE, she is thrilled to reconnect with this community. “I enjoy making a difference in the lives of young adults, particularly by helping them learn to advocate for themselves and navigate work and community life,” she shared.
Looking ahead, Ms. Jaffee is excited to build partnerships with businesses willing to host MDE Vocational Academy students, providing them with opportunities to develop and practice essential job skills.
Outside of work, Ms. Jaffee is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She loves RVing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying vacations by the beach or lake. Spending quality time with friends and family is also one of her greatest joys.
