Ms. Isabella joined MDE School in 2026, beginning her first year as a teacher after working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She has an academic background in Psychology and Sociology, as well as experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), supporting children with a variety of learning, communication, and behavioral needs.

Ms. Isabella’s passion for helping others began close to home. Growing up in a family of immigrants, she often found herself helping family members communicate, advocate for themselves, and navigate systems that were not always designed with their needs in mind. Taking on that supportive role came naturally to her and helped shape the patience, empathy, and advocacy she now brings into her classroom.

Her younger sibling has also been one of her greatest inspirations and is a big part of what led her to the field of ABA. Watching them grow, overcome challenges, and conquer the world in their own way has been an honor. Being there to support them when needed showed Isabella how meaningful it can be to have someone who understands you, believes in your abilities, and is willing to meet you where you are.

“I believe there is no single way for a child to learn, communicate, or grow,” Isabella said. “I celebrate every win, big or small, because what may seem small to someone else can be an incredible accomplishment for that child. I want my students to feel proud of themselves and know they always have someone in their corner cheering them on.”

In her classroom, Ms. Isabella strives to create a safe, welcoming, and joyful environment where students feel understood, loved, and excited to learn. She enjoys incorporating her students’ individual interests into reading, math, science, communication, independence, and everyday learning. Most importantly, she wants her students to have fun discovering what they are capable of and to grow more confident in themselves along the way.

Outside of the classroom, Isabella is very family-oriented and loves spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She is a proud dog and cat mom and enjoys being outdoors, exploring new places around Georgia, trying new restaurants, listening to music, and finding any excuse to laugh with the people she loves. As a Brazilian American who grew up speaking Portuguese before English, her culture and upbringing remain an important part of who she is and continue to shape the value she places on communication, connection, and making sure people feel heard.
