Mr. Walter joined the teaching staff at MDE School in 2015. In 2021 he became part of the teaching team that launched and currently teaches at MDE Vocational Academy.
Mr. Walter’s teaching journey began in 2002 as an intensive interventionist for the Cobb County School system working with children with emotional and behavioral disorders. He received several certifications during that time, including Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior, Human Empowerment and Leadership Principles, and The Person Brain™ Model.
He is passionate about teaching special needs children. “The authenticity of each special needs child is magical to see. Each child has their own way of learning, seeing, and communicating with the world. I’m honored to help these young adults unfold their potential every day,” Mr. Walter said.
Mr. Walter continued, “My goal is to create a safe, fun, and loving environment for all my students. I want them to look forward to coming to my class every day.”
In his free time, Mr. Walter enjoys cheering on the Braves and Georgia Bulldogs with friends, family, and his dog Paco.
