Mindy is the founder and Executive Director of MDE School. She started the school in 2009 because, as a speech-language pathologist and the Co-founder and Director of Greater Atlanta Speech and Language Clinic, she saw a need in the community to serve children who learn differently and need more individualized attention. Mindy established MDE School to focus on children with communication disorders and academic and social skills deficits. Mindy has grown MDE School from 3 students to over 100. MDE School gained non-profit status in 2016.
Mindy earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Oswego State University in early childhood/elementary education and a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Hofstra University in NY.
Mindy has worked with the Board of Cooperative Educational Services in NY with the Autistic and Communication Disorders Program. In addition, she directed her own private practice in NY, including services for a nine-office neurology team.
Mindy is a Cobb Chamber of Commerce member and was chosen to participate in the 2018-2019 Leadership Cobb Program. She also has served on the board of East Cobb Rotary Club since 2018. In addition, Mindy volunteers in the community with many different organizations as she believes it is important to give back to the community.
