Ms. Chelsea was drawn to the special education field in high school. In high school, I made it a point to interact and play with the special education students in the gym. My commitment to serving special needs children grew in college when I took an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) course. I have a heart for this because I naturally connect with people, and children with special needs are no different. I love to try and understand them in ways others may be unable to,” she said.
Her goal for her students is for them to read more. Ms. Chelsea is also dedicated to helping improve their communication skills with others and increase their autonomy.
